UTStarcom, Inc. (UTStarcom) is a global provider of Internet Protocol (IP)-based network solutions, including the integration and support services sold to telecommunications and cable operators. Its focus is to design and sell IP-based telecommunications infrastructure products, including the primary product suite of Internet Protocol TV (IPTV), and broadband solutions along with the ongoing services relating to the installation, operation and maintenance of these products. It has four segments: broadband infrastructure, multimedia communications, handsets and services. Multimedia communications is focused on development and market opportunities in IPTV solutions and wireless infrastructure technologies. Broadband infrastructure is focused on the portfolio of broadband products. Handsets is focused on mobile phone business. Services is focused on providing services and support. In November 2010, the Company acquired a 75% interest in Stage Smart Limited.
