As of January 30, 2010, the Company operated 645 discount general merchandise stores. FREDS stores stock over 12,000 purchased items, which address the everyday needs of its customers, including FREDS label products and off-brand products. FREDS stores have average selling space of 14,411 square feet. The Company sells merchandise to its 24 franchised FREDS stores.
