EDAP TMS S.A. (EDAP) develops and markets the Ablatherm device, an advanced choice for high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatment of localized prostate cancer. It is also used for patients who failed a radiotherapy treatment. In addition, EDAP is also developing HIFU technology for the treatment of certain other types of tumors. The Company also produces and commercializes commercialize medical equipment for treatment of urinary tract stones using Extra-corporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy (ESWL). The Company operates in two divisions: HIFU and urology devices and services (UDS). The HIFU and UDS divisions operate in Europe, the Americas, Asia and the rest of the world.
